The Story Behind Roll Gear LLC

I started Roll Gear LLC not just to sell martial arts apparel — but to create something I couldn’t find anywhere else: a brand that respects the grind, honors the journey, and builds real community.

As a retired U.S. Navy veteran, a mom of two kids who practice BJJ and wrestling, and a martial arts student myself, I have seen how grappling — from BJJ to wrestling — shapes character, especially in our youth. But too often, the gear didn’t reflect that purpose. Either it lacked durability, failed under pressure, or didn’t speak to our deeper “why.”

So, I created Roll Gear LLC:

We don’t just sell gear — we sponsor athletes, support at-risk youth, and donate to the Future Champions Initiative, our nonprofit teaching martial arts to underserved kids.

Our mission is simple:
Empower people through grappling — and help them own their moment.

A 9-year-old from Virginia Beach wore our youth rash guard in his first tournament. He told us, “I felt like a superhero.” His confidence hasn’t stopped growing since.
